On sweltering hot day in Chicago, Cloud and I set out to the main quad of UIC for a little fun. The heat made it difficult, but not impossible. The possibilities were endless in the area where we trained and this is just a small taste of what UIC has to offer.

  • I think the parkour in this vid is excellent and the acrobatics thrown in between are awesomely done.

It's obvious that they could have gone just for efficiency if they would have wanted!

This vid wasn't labelled "example of perfect parkour", no? They could have thrown in a dive in the pond and a swim too, lol!

Let's try to know well what we are doing (and saying) at any given time, but that doesn't mean being small- or close-minded, IMO.

  • @SafeNSure Well said Georgio!

  • you numbskulls miss the point entirely. does it really feel that great to tell people "that's not parkour?"

I've yet to see any one of these naysayers post their own video or take the time to "do it right."

Question for you: why not save the critique for yourself, and focus on your own abilities rather than calling other people out? Do you think pulling other people down somehow makes you better?

Jesus. I should know better than to comment on Youtube.

  • @sjmanikt your exactly right, at the end of the day we all practice the 'art of movement'; whether its parkour or not.

  • Getting from A to B? How about, having fun?

  • i love it

  • The video turned out really nice. I like how the ice cream man's bell was still in the vid even after all your effort to keep him out. Still great though.

  • lol oh are you mistaken.

  • I feel like people should enjoy movement for what it is and not worry about definitions because in the end they're still improving themselves. You can train inefficient movements to help yourself become more efficient.

  • parkour and free runing are the same exact thing
