There are my very brief, and unscripted thoughts on the political conversations taking place around the tragedy in Tuscon, I've made this video in order to respond to the many questions I've received as to how i feel, not about the tragedy, but about the political fallout. this is not about how I feel about the tragedy its self, but about the political conversations going on as a result.

If I'm going to talk about the tragedy its self, I will talk about the victims and their contributions to this world.

A family just lost their 9 year old daughter, and we should be talking about that, praying, and sympathizing with them and the victims. We should not be talking about Sarah Palin and talk radio.

  • @Standinstann Comment has nothing to do with loners. Has to do with people doing the crime does not have the mindset that society has over their crime. That is why you have people make statements like "you made me do this." In their mindset they believe this mindset that the victim made them evil. This explains war because if their actions had to do with mental disorders then all nations have mental disorders.

  • @Standinstann I lot of people with mental disorders do not go around shooting people. Most are nice people that stuggle with mental disorders. Sick of the media using people with mental disorders as monsters to explain crime. Most people with mental disorders are bullied or victims of crime. Because they are offen so misunderstood. Crime has to do with what society views as evil against what the person doing crime views as evil. Has to do with a twisted mindset that is against society at large.

  • I'm pretty sure people who blame Sarah Palin's acts for this incident know very very well it has nothing to do with it. It's just the way publicity works, when you have these partisan positions: can I link bad things happening in any way to the people I oppose?

I don't care for Sarah Palin either, but I am sick and tired of these publicity shows that have no relevance what-so-ever to what is actually important. I'm not even from the US. It's the same everywhere.

  • Did I say control? I ment ban, sorry.

  • Gun control is not the solution. Criminals will still have guns, and innocents will have nothing to protect themselves with. Don't give me bullshit about police. I'll be dead while they are just driving to wherever I am.

  • Fact: There are 700000 physicisians in the US , and of the total number of physicians in the US, 120000 caused accidental deaths . Thats 18 percent of physicians . Fact 2 there are 80 milllion guns owners in the united states, and f the accidental deaths caused by gun owners, only a mere 1500 accidental deaths are caused by gun owners, which is about .00189 percent . Just think abuut those facts for a second and you will understand why I come the conclusions that I have come to.

  • Well , the gun culture is different than it is today because it was common for US citizens to carry their guns with them to church and to go on duels. I should have said that overall the homicidal rate in the early 1900's and between the 2000's fluctuated and gun control laws did not have a big effect in the middle of the twentieth century because there would be a direct correlation between the gun control laws that were passed and a lowering of the homicide rate.

  • I didn't compared brazilian favela to the US south,I compared the homocide rates of brazil to the homicide rates of the US as well as both countries gun control policy and the US have a relatively more lax gun control policy than brazil , despite brazil having the higher homicide rate. Well, lookat the urban areas in the united states versus the rural white dominated areas in the US. Even though urban areas have more restrivie laws, homicidal rates are higher compare to rural areas with lax laws

  • The US is a civil society as well and also has a prosperous middle class. ITs not just the fact that switzerland is a wealthy country. France , finland , the united kingdom have similar level of prosperity and wealth and all of those three countries have stricter gun control laws than switzerland, yet they all three countries have higher levels of homicide rates than switzerland. no any person who doesn't have a psychiatric history of threantening others can get a permit or without a permit.

  • @Pentazoid111 Compare 1900's weapons to todays weapons. A 4 year old could see why the homicide rate has risen. Which by the way is another good thought in favour of guncontrol. By the time the 2nd ammendment was written people were using frigging muskets. No one can go on a murderous rampage with these things.
