"imagine not seeing a photograph...but hearing it".

Photographer Mathew Guido captures the creation of his image for the annual Drawn To Develop fundraising event taking place Thursday, October 15th, 2009 from 7:30 pm to 1:00 am at the Fermenting Cellar of The Distillery Historic District, 55 Mill Street in Toronto. Full details and ticket purchases can be made at www.drawntodevelop.com

Drawn To Develop (D2D) is a spectacular, collaborative evening of photography, hope and entertainment, which focuses a unique lens on street survivors around the world. All proceeds raised during the event go to Street Kids International. Forty-three of Canadas most celebrated photographers have generously signed on to create and donate unique one-of-a-kind pieces based on drawings from street youth. Their captivating interpretive works will be on display and auctioned off at the event. "When street youth are given the knowledge and skills to help themselves, their lives change forever. Drawn To Develop is about enabling that change and celebrating their courage said Jo Cutajar, Drawn To Develop Committee Chair.

Entertainment for the evening will echo the collaborative spirit of Drawn To Develop, featuring home-grown indie rock favourites Zeus, Jason Collett and Broken Social Scenes Kevin Drew, as well as a special DJ set by Broken Social Scenes Brendan Canning and a performance by synth-pop trio Parallels taking the stage to support the cause.
