Episode 28: Modular Data Center RFP Winner, Project Mercury

In this episode, Dean & Mike announce the winner of the Modular Data Center RFP, now known as "PROJECT MERCURY". Dean Nelson, Sr Director of Global Data Center Services for Ebay, and Mike Lewis, Director of Mission Critical Engineering for Ebay are joined by Gary Cudmore and Rob Nash-Boulden from EDI Ltd, the winning team for the RFP bid (EDI, AHA Consulting Engineers & Winterstreet Architects) to discuss the project and next steps. Dean also introduces an innovative Extreme Density modular product solution that came from Skanska during this process - eHive.

All in all, a compelling result to an unconventional process. An unknown company, the smallest of the submitters, wins the bid and a DC construction firm releases a highly innovative technology product tailored to the RFP requirements.
