Quick Questions For Jehovah's Witnesses is a series of quick questions for JWs (hence the name) and other interest parties to ponder. The answers to the questions just might be a little more revealing than most JWs would want to admit.

  • Good!

  • i think what he ment is things about the story about the cross is wrong like that if his hands were pinned it wouldnt work his hands would tare under his body weight and if his arms were to the side he wouldnt die becuase it wouldnt do things to his body unlike if he was on a stake

  • Or COULD it mean that a steak is a pagan implement of premium, grain-fed beef that is naturally aged to give filet mignon that distinct flavor, tenderness and quality you've come to expect.

    I'd prefer to believe THAT!

Also, although Jesus didn't wear one, it's NOT a sin to wear a shirt with a collar more often. LIVE A LITTLE! :-)

  • I would say YES, its possible,

TBH, I never truly appreciated the entire cross, stake argument.

I mean sure... its a pagan symbol and all, but that doesn't mean Jesus didn't die on one either.

    Good question btw

  • not necessarily..the cross is a known religious pagan symbol..in many cultures. But, the stake has long just been an instrument of torture and death. However, there is nothing to prove that christ could not have died on an ancient pagan symbol..but the bible clearly shows he died on a stake..not a cross. And the prophecies concerning him said "cursed is anyone hung on a stake..so, the stake is a fulfillment. But, satan getting christendom to revere a cross IS a slap in the face of christ!

  • @ThirdNUnion but the Romans weren't Christian, they were pagan.

  • keith i answer your questions with questions like Jesus did to the pharisees yet like the pharisees you do not answer, the cross is a symbol of worship to Tammuz.

  • @aquntumsingularity good answer. if the stake is pagan why worship it???????

  • @JWinCT I'm living in a fantasy world? that is rich coming from a person who believes, Man was created from dust, and women come from Man's ribs, that to take a blood transfusion is an ultimate sin, when it does not mention this ONCE in the bible, who is programed into believing that everyone who isn't a JW is 'Worldly' or 'Bad Association' and believes the World is governed by an invisible man and his crew in Heaven, your 'Organisation' is a lie..

  • You are living in a fantasy world.

Jehovah's Witnesses have been here since Abel.

We have never been part of any cult.

Russell was only used by the Creator to help gather in the increase "in the final part of the days". And the cross was not realized to be a pagan emblem until after the beginning of the 20th century.

    Ignorant much?
