Awesome music. I LOVE this piece. The first time I heard it was during the 2003 Tutus on Tour in New Zealand, and I was immediately drawn into the performance by the music, lighting and dance called Melting Moments. Truly awesome!

A very quite selection of music.

it's a little faster than usual; however,beautiful playing!! :D

Well said, it is troubled, but the beginning is fairly straightforward, at least as I feel it. Of course, later during the movement, it is necessary to play a few bars faster, but the solos must make you cry. And that is impossible if you play too quickly :)

The printed metronome mark is actually quaver = 112 - a good deal faster than this (this is about quaver = 94). No-one actually plays it at that speed - it is usually played more slowly, it's true (the Smetana Quartet are quaver = 78), but you can make a case for this tempo. The character of the movement, I think, is wistful and somewhat troubled - not peaceful at all. They play it pretty well, too.

No, he's right. They're pushing it too hard.
Ms. Tabby is a mighty fine cellist.
