OMG!! you should make a tutorial ;) using that tool.

lol the head isnt basic ,,,but is simple once you have got a technique , lightwave is like photoshop theres alot of tools and features but you only need a few of them to master your own technique i use to use shapeshifter mostly building bit by bit but now i just draw in 2d a face then using wieght map set it up to pull it out in 3d takes minutes then do the back of the head and weld it together, wieght maps are for bones but is pefect for speed modeling i find

making a human head is the hardest thing there alot of crying involved till you learn it, the body is easy though

nothing beats taking the extra time to just edit the UV's cuz it fool proof. this way is fast but horrible on useablity.

This tutorial was great. It was like I was in class and watching one of those videos that teaches you things. Thanks!

Trust me, a head isn't that Basic compared to some things. Try modeling a room or even just a simple object like a cell phone or a TV remote to improve you skills.
I wish I knew how to make the most basic thing here... the head :( lol

Have courage, my friend. The key to good modelling is observation and references. If you do plan to model a head, try to make a rough volume model first to give you the 'bulk' of the shape. Then model around it. Don't be afraid to make rough pre-versions to help you model, too. If you break things down to their basic shapes, things will become easier. Good Luck!

My pleasure. I try to be as clear as I can in my tutorials but sometimes my way of presenting can sound patronising to more expert users. This is a good technique for placing tattoos and other designs on characters.
