7:45---yet another reason why my mother's response to my Dad asking her if she'd mind his company transferring him from Milwaukee to Albuquerque was, "Tell your boss I'll race him to the state line."
The Momma has always had a gift for understatement

You can cover the pineapple plant with a plastic bag and put a couple really ripe apples and it will make it bloom. In nature humingbirds are there natural pollinaters. So you will have to sit it outside when it blooms. Strange blooms. The apples release some kind of of gas making it bloom. Look up on Google Coaxing Pineapples to bloom. It will give you more details.

can you do a update on the pineapple
Ray, how did you pollinate your pineapple?
TheSkadooshMove 5 months ago
@TheSkadooshMove I didn't. They produce pineapples without pollination.

@6613268 That doesn't sound very tasty, but it does sound like a cool experiment. :)

i'm soo jealous!! i tried to plant so many pineapples but all they do is just start rotting.. i've put them in water and some in soil but it never works. do you have to put it in a hot place? cause we don't have that much sun in here (belgium) thank you for the great videos and helping me with my pineapples?? greats

@jakobneirinck I place my pineapple tops in a shady location while they're rooting. If you place them in a sunny location, they'll try to grow. They can't grow since they have no roots to support the plant. This kills the plant. If you start them in water, make sure you only place the bottom 2 inches in water and change the water every couple of days to keep it fresh. If you use soil, make sure to just keep it lightly moist but not soggy. Soggy soil will rot it. Don't give up, ok? :)
