"Heng Jen Shr, Buddhist nun; Proud Canadian, Devoted Teacher at the Instilling Goodness/Developing Virtue Schools in Ukiah. Sadly, she was taken from us too soon (from colon cancer), but we her students pay tribute and remember her life; her joie de vivre and her steadfast dedication to Buddhism. We remember how she made classes like Buddhist Studies and Mathematics fun and understandable to us. She was our friend as well as our dorm mother and teacher, and we could count on her to be considerate and just, even in stern authority. For this quality we respected and valued her. "

I have profound respect for this school. It opened my eyes just visiting and learning about it. Any nun or monk who taught at this school is incredibly valuable. Please accept a strangers condolences and gratitude for her service.
