I was with a load of guys at this concert. Only one of us got the reference with the footage on the screen during the ecstasy of gold, we all had to ask him about it afterwards...

omg this was my first festival/gig (good start me thinks lol) and when Metalica came on i was just getting so excited!!!!!!!!!!

their intro music is called 'ecstasy of gold' and was written by ennio morricone. theyve used it almost throughout the whole time theyve been doing live shows as their intro music...i think they fist used it in '84. The song originally was a movie sound track and the video they were showing is the original movie scene that the music was first written for - i believe the film is 'the good the bad and the ugly'

Anyone remember the name of the vidoe they played at the start, AND the name of the song thats getting played? I can't for the life of me :( Swear tho.. I nearly died with excitement after just waiting from NIN walking off to the 'Tallica RUNNING on! SERIOUSLY near died when Lars jumped out man! (Not JUST cos the crowd surged forward and 5 from the barrier I ended up IN the thing haha!
