Its called Drop C#

I know.
And yes, they play it in Drop D down a half-step.

All songs from the first five albums are tuned in E tuning except on The Black Album The God That Failed was recorded as E flat and Sad But True was recorded in D tuning which are the only songs that don't sound different when played live. From Death Magnetic All Nightmare long is in drop D tuning. Do they play that in drop D down half a step live?

I was at the front row of, awsome live METALLICA 4 LIFE, and at the end i caught Kirke's Pick at the end!
Thanks for uploading this.
When I first heard the Esctasy of Gold, I got goosebumps I finally got to see Metallica live and I'm glad I wasn't disappointed.
And a great song to open with, too bad most of the crowd didn't know the lyrics to the chorus.

All the songs on the first five albums and Death Magnetic, the guitars are tuned to E, or standard tuning. Since the mid 90's, they have been playing all these songs in E flat live, which is half a tone lower than E. That's why it sounds so different. The play the songs lower to take some pressure off James' vocals
