The Hike

An experimental film following the adventures of a father, two boys, and a dog as they hike through the California chaparral, and find themselves haunted by a mysterious, malevolent presence.

This film was constructed of still photographs; no video is ever onscreen. A few CG animated textures appear briefly.

The soundtrack was created by layering 5 compositions by the inimitable Kevin MacLeod, of incompetech.com

Creepy. Really interesting use of pictures, makes you wonder what happened to them off camera. 5 stars
