On July 30, 2011, Hargun & Ashanpreet became husband and wife. They choose The Sikh Center of Orange County to unite as one. The bride wore a pink lehgha chunni (veil) encrusted with white and pink crystals, accented with a twisted gold embroidery. Hargun had a beautiful matching churri bordered with a gold and pink detailed pattern along the trim. As an important part of Sikism, Hargun's maternal uncle and aunt places a wedding set of choodas (21 bangles in red and white ivory) on her before she departs to the gurdwara.

The groom has a Sehra bandi ceremony before heading to the gurdwara. As pat of the Sikh tradition, the groom must wear a turban, sehra and carry a sword. The groom's sister traditionally will tie the sehra on his forehead. Ashanpreet arrived on a white horse for his baraat with his closest friends and family. As they approached the gurdwara, the groomsmen danced to the the sounds of the dhol played by Jess Toorey. The bride's family stood at the entrance ready to receive Ashanpreet. Both of the families engaged in a milni ceremony, followed by the Ragis & Granthi singing the Kirtan (the singing of hymns from Sri Guru Granth Sahib) before entering the gurdwara. After the ceremony, the bride was walked out by her family for her viddai ceremony.

In the evening, they celebrated their wedding reception at the Doubletree Hotel in Anaheim, California.

Behind the scenes: They decided to go with one of our cinematic packages, which included preparation shots, 3 Canon 5D cameras for ceremony, 3 Canon 5D cameras for the reception, a full length reel along with a highlight reel.
