I have wanted to record this song for such a long time. It's a really beautiful song by Steve Miller Band and here it is, Valentine's Day, so it was time to record it. I hope you all like what I've done here and hold your loved ones just a little closer.

  • Awesome, one of my favorite songs. I'd say equal to the original! I came here looking for the chords, but can you tell me what gives the guitar that "compressed" sound.(hard to verbalize sounds).

  • @wishiwasdiggin Hey Keith. I'm using a Boss GT6 guitar effects unit on the acoustic guitar patch which has some compression, a bit of reverb. I'm recording into cubase and then using cubase's compressor and a reverb plugin. Aside from a bit of eq on the guitar as well, that's it. If it sounds good, that's great but there's nothing special going on. I am also using a roland guitar synth for some other guitar parts in there.

  • Today feels like fall....this song is a classic..great version..and of course it reminds me of San Fran..and Miller..exquisite, touche mon ami

  • @newworldpeace It sure is a great song. And thanks for the kind comment, much appreciated.

  • This is great... I downloaded it and I listen to it in the car all the time!

  • @feww420 Awesome! Does it sound ok in the car? I never checked there. Thanks very much.

  • Thanks zerbio, I'll look inyo the Boss. Have you ever had the chance to play an Adamas? I havent and get opinions from "tiolet seat to "a must have" Keith

  • Also, if you don't mind, zerobio. I have a Marshall AS100D aucoustic amp that gives that "halls" sound but not as profound as your rig, and your mic has such clarity, could you give me some ideas in producing your sound? Thanks for reading any wisdom you can give. Keith

  • i dig it man.

  • @tesst32 Awesome! Thanks so much for that.
