Bandai's Pac Man clone. (Looks like Pack Monster is the French version).
A very nice pacman clone. Same game as Hungry Monster and Ogre Eater. Between every 2 screens, you even get a short pacman style 'Act'. . If you go into the tunnel (backdoor) and then push up or down, you can stay there and hide - the ghosts will never enter!
Also licensed to Radio Shack in the US as Hungry Monster and Radio Shack in foreign markets and Ogre Eater.

I had this new in 1984 but as a stupid kid plugged an AC adapter that had too high of a voltage and burned it out. I was bummed.

Sweet! I wish I had a few dozen of these late 70's thru early 80's battery-op hand helds. Barring that, @ least there are simulators/emulators. Granted they aren't as cool as the real thing, but they are better than nothing. I have over 100 "game & watch" simulators. BTW, Pac Monster sort of reminds me of TOMY Pacman. BTW, this is "Packri",. It's identical case/game play to Pac Monster, Hey myoldmac, do you have any more hand helds or vintage consoles, PCs, etc? Do you use emulators?

That's really cool! You gotta love VFD-based games! So the maze is just printed on the lens?
