Star Trek TNG + Enneagram

Mapping Enneagram numbers onto TNG characters for an english project.

ST: TNG belongs to CBS, Viacom etc etc

Only posted on youtube as a backup for presentation. Not done by somebody who looks into Enneagrams too regularly so ... erm... you know, its just my opinion.

@difficultbastard -- I'm surprised that nobody seems to have mentioned the obvious 7 personality on "Star Trek: The Next Generation"...Q. Extraverted, playful, enthusiastic, impatient, impulsive, capricious, adventurous, easily bored, a tendency to be scattered and unfocused...that sounds a lot like Q to me! Frankly, I don't think a Starfleet career would be very well suited to 7's or 9's. The only person I can think of on that show who might be a (very healthy) 9 is Guinan.

@rhampholeon22 -- A 9???? No way! Frankly, I have doubts that a career in Starfleet wold be well-suited to 9's because they lack assertiveness and have a tendency to run away from their problems (which may be one reason why Agnesed's analysis didn't include any 9's). Geordie may have difficulty asserting himself in some areas, but this usually seems due to self-doubt (something to which 6's are prone).

@mummra4ever, I think you may have misunderstood my comments. I never said there was anything wrong with having ethics, I simply stated that Picard's outstanding sense of morality must make him a type 1 who is also a great leader. In addition, Picard is also my best character on any Trek series.

What's wrong with having ethics? Picard was one of the best characters on the show along with Data. I like Picard for not only being a great leader but he also sticks up for the equal rights of others. And as show went on I think he was a more interesting character especially after Best of both worlds.

I always thought Number 1 (Ryker) was a Seven, but he could play the Three role as well. 3 & 7's are often mistyped. Barley is clearly a Six

good job. way to catch riker as a 3! However, i do have to disagree about Crusher and Troi. I know they both have nurturing elements to their personalities, but lots of people who aren't 2's can be nurturing, so it doesn't automatically make them a 2. I would say that Crusher is actually most likely an 8 with a 9 wing, 8's do become like 2's in growth. Troi imo, is probably a 9. But otherwise, good job! kudos!
