Easter 2007 Simon and Mary Part 1

La Sierra University Church of SDAs Celebrates Easter 2007 with dramatic presentations and choral pieces. In this piece, a narrator sets up the first story about Simon the leper and Mary the sister of Lazarus who pours perfume on the feet of Jesus during a feast at Simon's house.
This vignette includes a musical interlude that took the actors a bit by surprise, but is a lovely rendition of Amazing Grace performed by the La Sierra University Brass Quintet under the direction of Dr. Ken Narducci.
The narrator is Walt Lancaster, Fred Davis plays Simon, and Mary is played by Elynn Rodriguez. There is a follow up to this video (Part 2) which includes a duet by Fred and Elynn.
