The CEO of Softcat comments on their http://www.handsupincentives.com with Hands Up Holidays.
Instead of a standard motivational incentive trip, the employees of Softcat decided they wanted to make a real difference in the lives of others as well as have a fun and luxurious experience.
So they chose one of Hands Up Holidays ethical incentives and decided to help a struggling community in Cambodia develop their school, provide books and support some of the students, who cannot afford to study.
All in all they spent 10 days in Vietnam and Cambodia, of which 2 days were dedicated to assisting at the school by building, painting, gardening and cleaning. Team building was an important element of the activities as there was limited time and the teams needed to build on their strenghts to get it all done.
The tasks were carried out alongside the children of the school and the local villagers, giving them a fantastic insight and memories of their time there.
There was also ample time to relax by the pool, chat over drinks and enjoy the sights of Vietnam and Cambodia, staying in amazing hotels such as the Six Senses in Vietnam.
