  • i dropped the remote controll from my J3cub also from parkzone, after that all the controlls got fucked up and the plane only somewhat responded my inputs. after that it flew again... and ripped its fuselage in half after crashing. its trash now

  • Welcome to the club.

  • yeah, i took out all the electronics, and i want to get a spectrum radio to make the electronics respond correctly, then put them into a plane i might build from scratch. but for now im just waiting for my birthday, getting the hobbyzone supercub:D:D:D:D

  • Ah, good choice. The Supercub is an order of magnitude improvement over the Decathlon.

  • Sweet to see it fly again after the last video, I thought it was a goner. You where lucky on your last crash because i hade the super cub and hade my phone attached to the bottom of the battery flap. About 150ft the battery connectors came apart and the rudder and elevator where stuck in the same position and so came spiralling down (still recording) and hit a drain cover 5ft a away from a parked car. But it still fly's and bought lighter cam (flycam one2).

    Thanks Redflyier

  • More than half of my crashes seem to find a small drain cover or small patch of rocks amongst a huge empty field of soft grass. Thanks for mentioning the flycam one2. We have a camera now that isn't very good, so we're looking for a better one.

  • Those decathlons can take anything. You should watch my videos, I crashed mine 6 times before my first successfull flight. I was able to tape and glue it back together each time. The only thing I've actually replaced is the motor shaft and a couple of props!!

  • The flycam one2 is not bad but the only thing I don't like about it is every time you charge and discharge the battery it is reduced by a small amount. If you have a good SD card for instance (2G) you would probably get a good half hour recording time.

    Thanks

  • I bought it used off ebay. I think the previous owner had trouble flying it too. Maybe this one was just a lemon. It didn't seem to have sufficient power compared to other planes I've flown like it.

  • not bad was it new or used?
