The 1970 AMX you see here was originally owned by Greg White, of Parkridge NJ. who was friends with Ken Rose of Lakeview Rambler, the Westwood NJ AMC dealership. Ken campaigned the very first SS/AMX car manufactured "American Image", serial number ONE! Circa 1972, the drivetrain from the "Americn Image" car was removed and re-installed into the car you see here. The car was then street raced by Greg until being purchased by the current owners brother Bill Mckenzie in 1975. The car has been in the family since and is currently owned by Bill's brother Glen Mckenzie of Highland Mills, NY. At this time Glen is rebuilding the transplanted drivetrain and building a replica SS/AMX cross ram 390 motor to reinstall back into the car.

  • Yep, definitely all AMC. Barry Allen built 390 will have a cross ram manifold and twin carbs. The target will be 750 HP.
