This is a classic! the remake will not even be able to match it. It is hard to remake Barbara Streisand. She will be in the minds of everyone who saw it the first time and there is no comparison to her. sorry Beyonce is just not as good. You might get better film quality but the singing and acting will not be there.

@tonymontana1974 Hi Tony, yes it is true they including Barbra wanted Elvis to do the film. Tom Parker who was his manager put the cabash on it when it was found out that Barbra had top billing over Elvis. He ruined it for him. Elvis wanted to do it -it was just something else that was taken away from him.

Music is very dated.. whew, talk about seeming out of the loop.. sounds crazy compared to what we have technologically now.. it was not good. I did enjoy the movie though. I find Kris Kristopherson just sexy... hmmmmmmm

@tonymontana1974 Yes but Elvis manager at the time was offended that Barbra didn't come to him. Elvis wanted to do it,but his manager said no. Niel Diamond couldn't do it because he had concerts & was under contract.

OMG, I heard beYAWNcy is going to do a remake directed by Clint Eastwood. Why in the hell does these studio execs keep giving this woman movie roles for. She is always doing films that pertain to her being a singer, Dreamgirls, Cadillac Records, MTV Hip Hopera, The Pink Panther...well I thinking since the film has an abudance of singing and the sound track was basically Streisand singing classics, beYAWNcy felt this would give her a couple of number one's. What has the world come to.

well im' 39 nothing to be with the music of this time but isaw the film long time ago and i just love it cause i think this history happend over & over again with the people who had walked this way you know lot of pals died this way and if you ever lost some one in love or life or if you ever sing a song like the crippled crow bringing dawn the line all the pain you carry on love rock & roll love this movie cause all this is involved don't you think?
