Before Sorenson was sold to a Chicago investment group, Sorenson had been donated a lot to Mormans. Yes .. But not anymore. About free VP100, I believe James Sorenson Sr. gave his 1 million dollar donation to give away the free VPs. That was beginning of the its VRS era.

No, I went to a certain meeting where a representative of SVRS explained about the creation of VP-100 and why they distributed 'em free. It was one of these agreements with the FCC.
As for 12% profit margin, not all VRS providers gave lots of $ to deaf-related businesses/events/organization
