Again, meet my dear friend DICKEN or Jeffrey Pain from Oxford, from the beginning member in the 70s Mr Big, had a world wide hit with ROMEO and made 2 wonderful albums, Sweet Silence, Photographic Smile, toured round the world with famous bands like QUEEN; Tom Petty&The Hearbreakers, Journey Kansas etc. After the third album of Seppuko the band splits and DICKEN formed a new great band called BROKEN HOME, meet this band in their tribute to John Lennon, SHOT DOWN, taken from the bands second album "Life".
John Lennon was an English rock musician who gained worldwide fame as one of the founders of The Beatles, for his subsequent solo career, and for his political activism. He was shot by Mark David Chapman at the entrance of the building where he lived, The Dakota, in New York City, on Monday, 8 December 1980; Lennon had just returned from the Record Plant Studio with his wife, Yoko Ono.

Lennon was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, where it was stated that nobody could have lived for more than a few minutes after sustaining such injuries. Shortly after local news stations reported Lennon's death, crowds gathered at Roosevelt Hospital and in front of The Dakota. He was cremated on 10 December 1980, at the Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York; the ashes were given to Ono, who chose not to hold a funeral for him.The videos is tryin to shows some pics from the last day of John Lennons life. This is maybe one of my best videos, maybe the best.

  • @mm040462

    Thanks my friend,

    for taking your time!

A song who tribute John i a very good way.

    THANKS!!

    Best

    Michael

  • Hi Micke. I don't reckon all this anger over some other band taking the name is worth the time because who gives? Jeff's music is far better than the American band's anyway and it seems unlikely that it would have hurt his sales.

This song is great. It is so Lennonesque and very fitting, like the last music John was making.

Your video is superb as usual. I remember this and dug it very much the first time as well.

    All the best

    Pete

  • @CurtisMateer Thanks my friend Pete! Having just read Jeffs latest mail, the maybe change back their name from Mr Big to Broken Home or Dicken´s Broken Home, I´ll suggested those things earlier this year, they will always has the problem that people knows better the band who´s stolen their registrated name Mr Big. Its pity, but true. To invest so much money in the new albums its better to use Broken Home. I was also enjoying the last albums Lennon makes. Thanks!! Best Michael
  • This is an excellent historic collage, Michael..Fantastic work..taking me back in time. This song of Mr. Big..wow, he should have break all the charts. Sorry it took me a while to get to watch this, had an accident with the bycicle last week, but am feeling better.

Back to your video..it is top of the line, thumbs way up & favourite

Have a wonderful week, my friend

    wishes

  • @barbettemroe Thanks Barbette!

Be ware of the cycles, I do a lot of cykling but must

be careful in our ages, Thanks for all kindly words.

Jeffrey thinks maybe to leave his Mr Big name

cause the U.S variants who´s stole the name late

of the 80s. Maybe he find BROKEN HOME a better

name today, certainly in Germany & norway.

    Maybe icken´s Broken Home(who I found out

for him halfyear ago. Take Care my friend.

    Best Michael
