Ron Paul on US Foreign Policy: "Our empire is costing us"

Ames was the site of a large meet-up for Ron Paul fans as hundreds gathered to hear the congressional Texan and presidential candidate talk. His speech was titled, "Limited Government and the Constitution," and he delivered it on the Iowa State University campus.

He told the audience that "our foreign policy ... our presence around the world, our empire is costing us nearly a trillion dollars every year." Paul, a fiscal conservative, spoke about freedom, the Constitution, drug laws, minority incarceration, Cuba, income tax, the federal reserve, and fiat currency. Many lines brought cheering and applause including when, regarding foreign policy, he said, "I don't want to police the world."

In Japan, the Okinawa citizens want to see America has Ron Paul as the US President. That way, the big US bases that would likely be closed and rioting, misbehaving off duty servicemen no longer pry the streets there! But Japanese politicians would want America to keep bases there so that it helps their economy. By the way, good job the bases were not at Fukushima!

@821627 Obama flip flopped on every issue. He promised something one day and promised to do the opposite the next day. Ron Paul has not wavered. Obama was clearly a liar throughout the last presidential election. It is not hard to accomplish. Obama is and always has been a liar in politics. The Dr is and has always been a man of his word in politics. Anyone who failed/fails to see that Obama was a lying scumbag had serious blinders.
