Not trying to discredit your analysis, but I took the video into a frame by frame editor and if you go from the instant she caught the ball to the instant she shot it, it's 1.2 seconds. Secondly, if you mark 1.4 seconds backwards from the sound of the horn, the clock operator jumped the gun. In reality, she got the shot off in 1.2 seconds when the clock operator gave her 1.31 seconds, which is the time from when she caught the ball to the sound of the buzzer.

That was way too long to be 1.4, you can't catch, turn, dribble, take two or three steps and shoot in 1.4....come on. It was a great shot no matter if it was good or not and in the situation but I think she got about an extra 0.7 at least. I used to run a clock for high school and she definitely got more time. Once you screw up the clock a few times and have fans yelling at you, you get a "feel" for how long short increments of time last lol
