Kentucky has nothing to offer but a huge court house and a very small library. They put no money into the infrastructure of this clickish town. It's not a place you would want to live. I promise you that the political crap that goes on here is nothing but transparent to anyone that actually takes a good hard look. I guess I expect more for the city taxes that I pay. If you have been to Elizabethtown, Ky you've been to hell.

I lived in Elizabethtown for five or six years. My parents still live there and I constantly visit from college. Etown is not about the town--the town sucks. It's the people in it. You learn how to have fun and honestly I hope I end up back there. I miss it so much.

Elizabethtown is a very pretty town in the southern style, meaning not a lot of action but a great place to relax. Not much of a night life, everything closes pretty early. If your there in the day time, Freeman Lake park is a good place to picnic, fish, hike, paddle boat, and behind E-town is the little town of Glendale, with Whistle Stop and the Depot, both good local restuarants not chain. There is an antique car museum in E-town, and Patton Museum just up the road, great military museum.

The Brown Hotel. Like I said, I don't think I would live there. I didn't even stay for a whole day. The Brown is in Louisville, KY.

For my 17th birthday I went to Elizabethtown and Louisville, Kentucky. I am so in love with the movie Elizabethtown.
We stayed in the same hotel that Orlando stayed in the movie. I actually loved it there. I don't know that I'd live there though.

Why would any one stop here???

I lived there for the first 19 years of my life, and to be honest the entire town is based on an fashioned family moral basis. Nothing that isn't 100% approved by the entire community comes in or out of that town. I got outta there almost two years ago, and THANK GOD! It was HELL:)

I live just outside of Elizabethtown and work in the city of Elizabethtown. I'm there 5 days out of 7, if not more often. Former President Clinton was just in E-town last night and I got to shake his hand and get his autograph. Good luck on getting something to drink in this video though LOL, Hardin County is a Moist county. If you want liquor you'd have to drive a short distance to the Meade County Border. Which is wet and their side of the county border is lined with liquor stores.

That is SOOO truckstop-style haute cuisine, LOL! ("Hey Gertie, squirt some of this here stuff around that 2-pound piece of cake and they'll think theys eatin' FAINCY-like!" LOL!)
On the hours laws, I was always thankful in my travels that the ICC laws didn't apply to me as a tourist. One trip to SLC I drove about 20 out of 24 hours, and another I did Jacksonville to NJ straight through with a 2-hour stop in Baltimore. I think that one was 18 driving hours of 20 on the road.
Summer 2000, I was in New York, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, but not in Kentucky. But it´s a good video.
