I had a young guy ( maybe 20-ish ) on the train about 2 weeks ago ask me if I was a skinhead. I said yes and he was grilling me on all things related to being a skin. He asked for advice on being one and I said be prepared to answer a lot of questions and get shitty looks from a lot of people because media has portrayed the Trad. skins as being race hatters and don't know the real history behind it. I told him that it can be a rough life, but is rewarding with good friends ect.....

@mrdefkon1 It could be tough...skins used to be territorial and there was all the football rivalry too but skinhead or not, being working class is a tough life anyway. When I was young being a skinhead made me "part of" something, gave me an identity like any youth culture does but most of all it was the music and the camaraderie and feeling great in your best clobber with your wages in your pocket on a Friday night with sounds like this shaking the floor. I wouldn't change a thing.
