press (hold) "Ctrl"+"Alt"+"Delete", task manager,file,run, type in "explorer.exe"
than enter

yo could of loaded in safe mode and scanned for viruses if u had some

It's a software problem use safe to fix

restart windows and when it boots up press f8 and load safe mode then restore computer from last update ,

After the OS reinstall (almost 4 years ago) the computer was working fine /it was used daily/ until yesterday and I was very happy with it /both stability and performance/.
Now the issue is a different one: it powers on, the fan starts and a few seconds later the laptop powers off.
Any clue what could be causing such a problem?

I have reinstalled the OS and all is fine now!!!
