Eversion - More Like Deception - (Part 1)

http://zarat.us/tra/offline-games/eversion.html is where you can download this, it's a public, free release. It's windows only, so if you're on a mac, you'll need DarWine or some other similar program to run this.

For a long time people had been asking me to play this, i'd just never gotten around to it. Definitely an unsettling game, although not as bad as LSD, Eastern Mind, or Exmortis was for me.

Once you get past that though, it's a pretty fun game: there's three endings, my playthrough only shows the bad, "not getting all the gems" ending.

@IareMikeJones he wrote a boatload of novels and influenced legions of people in regards to the horror (and possibly fantasy) genres, if i remember right. haven't read any of his works but he's influenced a LOT of things

@azuritereaction I see, you're an exception. I might watch your walkthrough, but i like to see people freaking out at least. How is Amnesia too logical? The puzzle solving was present in Penumbra, too, already, and the point of the game was to create an immense atmosphere from the start, so that's that.

I've yet to play Afraid of Monsters, and i believe i never will. This one has olden graphics ( HL1 mod ) and is even darker than Amnesia at points. Ever played it?

@paddymoep nope, haha, it honestly is about as scary to me as mario brothers: watch my playthrough of it on youtube, you'll see i don't even get uneasy or bothered once, games like that just aren't scary to me because they're too grounded in reality and too logical, plus the graphics are too good, removes the fear for me

@azuritereaction Probably because you've seen walkthroughs and videos beforehand. Happened to me, too. Kinda ruined the game, but whatev.

@paddymoep i've done a playthrough of amnesia, it's on my channel, but so far it's the least scariest game i've ever played actually haha
