New lights for the intramural fields at Rice University

Undergraduate and graduate students gathered at intramural fields 2 and 3 for a celebration unveiling a brand new lighting system.

The new lights are just one of several projects made possible by the Asset Liquidation Funds Appropriation (ALFA) Committee, which was charged with distributing funds from the proceeds of the sale of the KTRU tower, license and frequency, said Paula Sanders, vice provost for academic affairs and dean of graduate and postdoctoral studies.

"These projects will benefit members of the Rice community for many years to come, especially undergraduate and graduate students," she said.
