Go West in concert as part of the Runaway Train tour promoting the "Dancing on the Couch" album. This is the second incarnation of the live band - the core remains Peter Cox, Richard Drummie and Alan Murphy but now with Pete Adams (keyboard), Jaz Lochrie (bass) and Jimmy Copley (drums).

I know a lot of fans feel the first line up was best but these guys are totally on it - they're superb players and as tight as a gnats crotch here!

Part Four song list:
. The King is Dead (Alan uses what was, at the time, a revolutionary guitar midi controller called the Stepp DG1 to play the trumpet solo - ironically his idol Alan Holdsworth favoured the Stepp's rival, Synthaxxe)
. We Close Our Eyes (lovely light clean solo before Alan rocks out!)

Please remember this has been captured from a VHS tape that is now nearly 25 years old so forgive the glitches/graininess and the fact that Chrysalis didn't put a bloody HiFi track on it! Enjoy...

  • ☆ These guys are f a b u l o u s ☆ Dancing on the couch will ever be one of my alltime favorites ☆ Thank you so much for uploading this concert ☆ You've done a great job! ☆

  • Thanks for uploading this concert - always awesome performers!!!

  • @Mistysky5 USA tour this year ;)

  • I bought Go West's debut album in 1985. I played that album over and over until I wore it out. Then I got my hands on Bangs and Crashes which were remixes and extra songs. Loved the remix version of Eye To Eye on that album. I also loved Dancing on the Couch. Just couldn't get enough of Go West in the 80's. Peter and Richard with the rest of the band show what real musicians are!!

  • nothing compares to this...:)

  • Thank you so much for sharing this!!! I have watched & listened to it so many times that my kids now know the words to the songs! Go West brings the 80s alive for another generation!! I'm seriously wishing they'd make another tour through the USA!

  • Have watched all four uploads over and over - top class performances from the whole band but especially Murphy who, for me, was the classic sound of Go West. Thanks for uploading!

  • "We Close Our Eyes" pure Go West magic!!

  • Thanks for toughing it out to upload this....you get the Murphy's Stout award! Love the dynamics of Alan's solo...first the kind & gentle tease before he goes for it.
