@sevam1 I like to use Moe Norman and Dan Pohl as my examples of what you are talking about in the backswing. In other words a shorter backswing with very little wrist break. I think the longer the backswing is the less accurate it is!! I realize some great golfers had long loopy backswings but they were very athletic. I like simplicity and thus I cite Moe and Dan Pohl.

You are right about Mr " Leadbettertotrouble" lets keep it more simple like you say.
Looking forward to watch episoed no 4. Thanks

Mike, enjoyed that. I worked for George Knudson and was pretty close to him. I can confirm that he wasn't "trying" to set the wrists early. - Martin Chuck

This guy looks like actor Alfred Molina.

Leadbetter advocated having the club set when the left arm gets to paralell and the butt end pointing slighly inside the target line . If you look at pictures of Nick Price he takes the club away low to the ground and the the wrist set naturally. I think Faldo sets the wrist earlier because he became so in love with the pre set drill that he was simply putting this pre set drill in motion. In "Swing For Life" by Sir Nick you can almost hear him begging you to develop your swing this way.

Your thoughts mirror the teaching of Tom Watson on the takeaway. The wrist cock follows the turn of the shoulders and is more or less unconscious, free of manipulation. Very consistent results.
-
basically what you're saying is once you've got that takeaway on your backswing plane, the rest, barring any sort of manipulation, is automatic? the only other step is fire at the ball? you mean i don't have to think about this golf swing? oh hey i can go work on putting and chipping then eh!

Hi Mike! What technique are you using to produce the background images? Like that a lot. Being very interested in TGM and what else is out there I appreciate you giving us your opinion on certain topics. Greetings from Austria, Chris

@mostro30 The technique is called ChromaKey. Look up "green screen" or "chroma key" on the web to find out how to do it.
