the 40 seconds this music plays in the movie is burned in my memory. as part of an experience that helped mold me as a person. i dont know of a better movie, with such a good soundtrack

This song symbolizes the entire movie in my opinion....this song is so eerie...yet happiness spawns out of it. In my opinion, all donnie wanted was happiness....which he could never achieve except for Gretchen, the reason he died. Thats truly what made him happy; protecting her.

This film spoke to me, and that concept of a horrific yet amazingly complicated film speaking to me terrified me beyond belief.

@DeutschPi i had the same feelings, before i realized that this world doesnt deserve my sacrifice. This soundtrack reminds me my best friend and also my girlfriend Sanja. I am... well, i was, suffering from schizophrenia like Donnie, but then she came, she is like Gretchen, my savior, my angel, and i hope i will never see or hear my "Fank" again... and i will enjoy the life together with her, like normal people ( :

this song makes me feel a mixture of sadness and hope. It's beautiful. Strange I think the reason why I love Donnie Darko so much, besides the film is so complex and holds deep meaning; no matter how fucked up the film may be I love the powerful and beautiful music of this film. In a way Donnie Darko is a lot like Inception only more complex.

What is it about this film that affects everyone so much? I just can't stop thinking about it. It's amazing. The whole film is just perfect! It feels weird though, after watching it. Like you've discovered the meaning of life...
