How beutiful is this.
A majority white croud in thier living room, cheering as if jesus christ had come back to earth for the first black president.
God Bless America, In no other country is this possible, German politicians have said it, British and other politicians have admited to this.
America has revived its greatness

This is the first video I've found that actually happened AS it was announced, and not right after.

Obama is the future for gay folks ! :)
-
And look how it turned out! Fantastic!

True, a long national nightmare ended, just to be followed by a far worse nightmare.

Are you serious? Yes, it's fucking beautiful that white people are cheering a black president. And yes, it does matter that they're white. You obviously have a poor understanding of race relations in America if you can't see the difference between black people cheering for a black president and white people cheering for a black president. But I can excuse you on that count, because you don't live here.
But I can't excuse you for supporting monarchy. What purpose does royalty serve these days?

And that's precisely what America did. We put aside the racism that would have barred him from office thirty years ago. It's not about celebrating his skin color. It's about celebrating the ability of Americans to judge a black presidential candidate on the content of his character. Obama did not run as "the black guy" and most voters didn't vote for/against him for being "the black guy", which would have been totally unthinkable not too long ago. That's what was so great about this moment.

WELL YOU KNOW WHAT IM SORRY IF IT'S THAT FUCKING HARD TO IGNORE THE RACIAL SIDE OF THIS HISTORIC MOMENT.
All Day Nov 5th you saw the Overwhelming reaction from the Black perspective, and To see a Majority White crowed react with the same level of joy, not that I would expect anything less, but just that imagery and the fact that MLK did indeed say people should be judged by thier character is enough to move me and make me comment on how much race relations have progressed.
-
I'm not referring to Obama's election victory you brain-dead lemming, I'm talking about your reaction to their cheering as "beautiful" only because they are _white_ people cheering a _black_ president. Hence, judgement based on the colour of their respective skins.
-
Hence Obama's election
-
How is it beautiful? I thought MLK wanted people to be judged not on the colour of their skin but on the content of their character?

Yeah, Once he won ohio, it was so unbelievable.
In my mind, I thought it was gonna win, definatley because the imagery of an obama loss was virtually non existent in my mind, all i imagined was a slim victory. When ohio came in, I had to get off CNN and wait for fox news instead because how could it be true. Only when Fox News Calls a reliable republican state for a black candidate can it be true, thats when i got excited of not a win but a landslide. MY heartbeat stayed the same when he won.
The countdown in question was the countdown to the 11 pm poll closings that included California, Oregon, and Washington. These are the states that put Obama over the top.
Once it was announced that he had won Ohio and Virginia, we all realized that if Obama won California, he would win the election. That's why we counted down towards the 11 pm poll closings.
