Our flagship Smart TV for 2012 -- a CES Innovation Award honoree -- is the Samsung ES8000 LED TV.

From the outside you can see the TV is beautiful, but once you look inside you'll see that this Smart TV is more than just a pretty face.
For starters, you won't find a more powerful Smart TV than the ES8000.

A dual-core processor creates a better, faster Smart TV experience and allows for something really cool: multi-tasking.

Let's say you're watching a movie on Netflix and you want to check the hockey highlights. Just toggle from Netflix to one of my favorite apps -- NHL Game Center -- and come right back to the movie ...without having to quit and re-launch apps.

We also have created a new Smart Hub -- one screen for your apps, content and search -- with a cleaner, more intuitive UI, now in Full HD.
That clean design extends to the TV's body as well.

The ES8000 features the slim bezel we first introduced in 2011 and is complemented this year by a new matching U-shaped stand. Our Smart TVs have grown physically as well, as large as 75 inches.
Take a closer look at the top of the TV. You'll see that for the first time, Samsung is offering an integrated camera in our high-end Smart TVs.

This will enable not only video conferencing but also the Smart Interaction capabilities you'll see shortly. For the moment, let's stay in the Content room and look at how this continues to evolve.

  • ^plasmas. And also they are way to dedicated on making there tv frames smaller. Why would I need a camera on my tv if I could buy a camera for a panasonic if I ever have to us one. That's mostly for the lazy People that don't what to press buttons on a remote and want to look like a dumass waving there hands or talking to the tv.That being said I would highly recommend a plasma panasonic HDTV because they have longer life span and better picture quality, especially for gamers like myself, over LCD,L

  • My brother has a 2008 samsung tv and it's a good tv and he has no problems with it.But I'm planing to buy a 2012 panasonic tv because they care about picture quality and 3d and there Internet content.Unlike samsung it seem that they are butting less effort on there tvs over time.Internet content is a plus but I don't care to much about it why not try and fix all the problems you had last year and improve on it this year.I've heard there picture quality hasn't improved much on there LEDs and pla

  • WATCHING PORN IS AWESOME

  • Will it support SamyGO.tv?

  • does it make coffee ? and does it have siri for tv ? NO=EPIC FAIL

  • Cost? Cost Please? 75" 8000

  • No, I don't want more content, or more apps. We want a TV that works! Just the TV would be fine thanks. The 2011 D8000 model stutters/skips frames when using the Motion Plus feature, unless it is set to 'Clear' which is not effective at all at controlling judder. After nearly a year this hasn't been fixed, which makes me think that the hardware is inadequate for motion processing.

A 'Smart TV' is one which works properly, not one packed with gimmicky apps.

  • Why not intergrate something useful like WHDI ?

  • Apple... are you also seeing this?

    Hurry up with your iTV...
