@TLocke54 Even with the emergence of the quick and swoopy McLarens in 1971, the PJ Colts were still fairly competitive and reliable. The PJ Colts won 2 of the 3 Champ Car "Triple Crown" Races in '71, with Unser winning at Indy, and Joe Leonard winning the California 500 at Ontario. The Pocono 500 was won by the late Mark Donohue ... driving a Penske prepared McLaren.

Gary Bettenhausen once said about your cousin if Mosley had a McLaren in the early ‘70s, everyone would have been running for second place.

Great stuff, those Mclaren cars looked fantastic.

Thank You Gary Bettenhausen for stopping and running to the rescue of my distant cousin the late Mike Mosley, I remember you won the Extra Mile award for that selfless deed.

That Johnny Lightning Special won the race with my Dad's engine in it! Thanks for posting the video.

@valotwin I remember putting a model together of an Indycar of a similiar year. Before X-Box, computers, and Ridalin there was Cox .049 powered cars & planes, plastic and wood balsa models, notromethane and strong ass glue! I think it left lasting physical damage lol
