"The Red Balloon" or "La Ballon Rouge" is a french short film directed by Albert Lamorisse in 1956. This is a spoof of that video. Here, Pete (a character from "Home at Last," has a stuffy nose. But when he tries to clear his ears, something unexpected happens. Suddenly, he finds himself in Lamorisse's world, albeit with a slightly more comedic, less French tone.
This is a short film promo for "Home at Last." So if you like this, check out our other videos. The series stars WIlliam Russ (Boy Meets World). And Pete (the character portrayed in the video above) is the main characters fool hardy, douchebag best friend.
Interesting fact! The girl with the blue balloon in this video is Chelsea Mize, creator and writer of "Home at Last.' She spent dozens of hours studying Lamorisse's original footage, but threw it all away, favoring wildly unique and original choices instead.
Pete, the guy with the red balloon, is played by Eric Rubin.
This video was directed and VFXd by Steve Sprinkles, using mokey after effects, cinema 4d, dynamics parody, and cinema animation.
