there is nothing i can do

there is nothing i can do
that has not already been done fuller
by these fields around me

i fear my starts and end,
my promises and promise unfulfilled
i cut my teeth on small things never completed
on afternoons wasted and so still of some value
for against those bare expanses of time
how grand and hurtful
bright and overflowing
are these trees

I just found this. Fantastic. I use to get so lost in our conversations in the car driving to and from On.. because my mind would be lost in the trees. I'm embraced by urban scapes now, the country kept at bay, only off in the distance.
