This song always was and always will be jingoistic drivel. Blind citizens thinking they are free. This is what Big Brother wants you to think. Most of us are asleep at the wheel.

If you are unhappy with 'Big Brother', do something about it. Become involved, participate in the government, run for office and vote. If you are 'asleep at the wheel', it's definitely time to wake up. The song may be jingoistic but it also expresses the love that many of us feel for this country. If you can't deal with living here try moving to China, North Korea or Cuba and see what that does for your appreciation of democracy and freedom. They'll introduce you to the REAL 'big brother'.

You think we have freedom just because we've sacrificed a few thousand lives overseas fighting a faceless enemy, and in turn you've ignored the real enemy here at home. Take a look at the economy, people losing their homes to the banks while the same banks get huge sums of money from the Federal Reserve. They're robbing us of everything from under our noses and you think we're free! Look up some quotes from Thomas Jefferson about banks.

If you think we are not free - try living in a truly totalitarian country. Move to China, move to North Korea or try a few years in Iran and then come back to the US and see if you'd whine about the fact that the banks will foreclose on a loan if you are unable to pay it. If you do not like what is happening to America get involved. Run for office, write your congressman or your senator or become a community activist and do something CONSTRUCTIVE.
