Good question. Don't quote me on this but, Michael won the first season and declined the prize. He was also offered to train at one of GR's restaurants and declined that also. He sold chef's knives in an online store before getting Tatou. If anyone else has any info, corrections, or comments, please reply to this thread.

im not sure but in the first season ramsy said he would give them their very own resturant, and now he says that they will be working for him, so when you are your own boss you cant be under contract....im just guessing
