Van Halen is awesome live, I wonder if David Lee sings the Sammy songs?? But no matter what Eddie shows why he is one of the all time best at it!! You think I'm kidding, watch Michael Jackson do Beat It live with Slash playing the guitar...Don't get me wrong, Slash is good, but he doesn't hold a candle to Eddie....I will always be a fan of Van Halen, you have to be if you are a true fan of rock....Hell Alex is why I picked up the sticks to start with!!

saw the sammy and dave tour in 2002. sammy opened. sammy clearly outperformed dave. probably because he was more polished. dave hadn't been on the big stage in a while.  i think dave was trying to prove he had his mojo still and he didn't yet. he was trying to live up to the performer he once was. still, it was good to hear him sing the classics.
