Dan Gelber, a former top federal prosecutor for nearly a decade is running against Republican Pam Bondi. The differences between the two candidates have not been lost on informed observers. The Sarasota Herald-Tribune said Gelber's "extensive experience and leadership roles as a prosecutor and legislator make him clearly better qualified" while stressing that Bondi "is lacking in these qualifications."

  • Dear Voter,

Bank's mortgage fraud is the most important issue we will face in Florida in the coming future. The nature of real estate transactions will be affected by this.

The Nov 2, 2010, election for attorney general will define who will represent us as our attorney as a state in this topic.

The chief law-enforcement officer in the state of florida is not the governor, the Senator or the Congressman. It is the attorney general.

Experience and a long record count.

    Vote 4 Dan Gelber!

  • Yeah. That's why it's hard to believe that the federal investigation into his hanky-panky was just coincidental.

  • @Scarabus3

On the campaign trail while speaking to business groups, Bondi said “the last thing we need is an Eliott Spitzer-type” Attorney General. Eliott Spitzer, before his affair scandal, was known as the "sheriff of Wall Street" because of his heavy prosecution of white-collar crimes while he was attorney general of New York.

  • Who or what's the source for the allegation about Bondi's comments to lobbyists? Given that she's a Republican, the allegation is plausible. But, as presented in this ad, it's just hearsay. As any lawyer knows.

I was about to contribute, but this has given me second thoughts. Chalk it up to a long career as an academic, but I do want such claims to be documented.
