Charted at #60 on Billboard Hot 100 in January 1965, and released in December 1964. This is one of the great girl group classics, and likely would have been a much bigger hit had it not come along after the British invasion. Reparata and the Delrons are my favorite girl group. They began at a time when the craze for girl groups was winding down and the British invasion had taken hold, so they never really got the recognition they deserved despite releasing several fantastic singles throughout 1964-1969.

  • A great record. The problem was the label did not have the distribution, the clout of the financing to give it the promotion and radio play it needed. Had that arsenal been in place it would have gone straight to number one. It is a very famous record.

  • @waynebrasler I agree, Wayne!

  • Thanks for posting this great song--I put it on my facebook page. This group got a well-deserved mention in Amore: The Story of Italian American Song by Mark Rotella.

  • @jaydub1948 You're welcome, thanks for posting the link on your facebook!

  • I wonder why Youtube blocked my posting of "I'm Nobody's Baby Now" It's allowing other Reparta & the Delrons songs. However, it comes up on my channel.

  • @susandiane311 I have sent you a message to your inbox to answer your question. It should clear up any confusion.

  • I remember very well hearing this song on S.F.'s legendary radio station,

KYA. Just once or twice. Should of been a big hit like "Popsicles/Icicles"

(#3) or "Chapel Of Love" (#1)It may of belly-flopped, commercially, but it remains a classic.

  • Reperata is my writing mentor! Shes awesome! :D

  • I grew up in Yonkers and never heard these gals sing til just recently thanks to Facebook ... I love their sound.....

  • Big Dan Ingram Played this song many times on W.A.B.C. radio in New York in 64'....Yes, this song should have gone to number one. I found the DVD at "CD Universe" and purchased it. The songs were remastered & sound fantastic!! Thanks for the post !!

  • My Girl Joann & I loved this song in Jersey City; we could not get enough of it then or now....It is postulated that Saint Reparata was a 3rd century Christian Virgin who was tortured and beheaded by the Roman Emperor Decius in the 3rd Century when she refused to apostatize (renounce her religious beliefs). She was considered to be a martyr & therefore Canonized. At Best, she was 15 Years old when she was murdered.

  • @TheLadandLass. Thank you. You are right friend, but I know in my heart I'll be with him again because love is forever. Merry Christmas Dear and thank you for thinking of me this day.
