A small part of the airspace above Budapest is open for paramotors, and flying above the city is an unforgettable experience. However, you need to be aware of the many regulations and you need to know about the few emergency landing zones. Talk to an experienced local pilot before you fly there.

yeah that makes sense - instead of gliding safely - you'd have 150 kg of body/paraglider crash into the powerlines/cars/peds that make up a city... that's your answer to everything - shoot now - think later

I thought USA was the land of the free :-)
This downtown flight is legal here, anyway, although the restricted airspace is just meters away.

In the U.S. the techinical restriction is, "no fying in congested areas" so you're lucky wherever you are. I'm sure you always had an emergency LZ in sight ;)

In Hungary: minimum 1000 feet above the highest building in the area (if no other restrictions). Several tennis courts, football stadiums and the river quay for emergency landing ;-)
