This demo-reel, produced for VisualSVN, shows you how to use their open-source-based Subversion manager and non-free Client to start two developers developing a C# application in Windows in Visual Studio 2008. TortoiseSVN isn't shown but is used behind the scenes.

I use three virtual machines to simulate three physical machines, each belonging to a different user (the Server, Alice and Bob). Alice starts a project, Bob edits it, Alice then gets the updates.

Techniques include zooms, Flash-based 'Download' links at the end (they only work in VisualSVN's site), text annotations to differentiate the three machines that are shown in the video and a call to action.

This is a demo-reel produced in my ProCasts.

  • Thanks :-) I'm not a reseller of VisualSVN, I'm a creator of screencasts - I help companies like VisualSVN explain their product to their users.

Mail me directly (ian AT procasts co uk) if I can help.

    Cheers,

    Ian.
