I agree this sounds beautiful. It is unfortunate on these opinion sites ugly language is used, often by americans 2 months ago, to make a point. Frankly, the language is not appropriate next to this sublime music. Youtube should be more aggressive in limiting this pathetic language which adds absolutely nothing to an intelligent discussion of the merits of this performance. I am now anticpating a vile reaction with ugly words from the mid-west....
I don't think this version is being performed correctly, but I'm not sure how Palestrina intended the work to be performed, so I can't say for sure. I think the lower voices, especially the base, are a bit too loud. The high voice should "drift" and be heard above the other voices, creating a sort of surreal effect with its melody.
I enjoyed this, and I have to say, unlike many of the commentors I like the slower speed, eventhough I perform it at the more well know tempo!
