I know in alot of japanese martial arts they refer to them as ryu ha or "jutsu" how many jutsu's in japanese martial arts exist can someone please give me a approximate answer???
muscles are not everything in martial arts. even if u have them u need to know how to use them. a bodybuilder will be tired from adrenalin, fast heartbeat and fast breathing before he even starts to fight. even if u dont have muscles, the smallest maneuver can bring down the biggest opponent.without gloves a punch will hurt no matter how heavy someone is.
the harder someone trains in any type of thing..the better he is in it. call it athlete, master or practitioner..it doesnt matter.
someone with expierience does not need to be fit to win a fight. its not a 12 round boxing match. more important then this is what a martial art can give to u beside the possibility to win a fight. traditional and modern. a "criminal whatever" maybe just wins a fight because he is used to fights and has less fear. most fights are decided in the heads of the fighter
Being an athlete doesnt always constitute sport either. Being an athlete means being physically fit. You control what things me to you. I do not. Being an athlete means being physical and mentally prepared for combat. The style doesnt dictate the response. The situation your in does.
Sorry but to survive a confrontation these days. One must be an athlete not a practitioner. Practitioner is a limiting belief. It only goes so far as saying you practice.
If you want to limit your self knock your self out.
But not me, in order to survive you must be an athlete.
Do you know why? Because every criminal fuck pushing weights in the prison systems work out way more than the average martial artists. So even criminals are athletes to a degree. But hey limit your self...not me.
"Athlete"? Not all martial artists should be, "athletes." That is only for modern sport budo. Most of what was in this video was not anything that involves "athletes."
Perhaps, "practicioner" would be a better choice of words.
Amazing moves..

The Katorishinto Ryu Sword work never fails to amaze me. It REALLY stands out, and not because of all of the slow motion scenes.
