  • @asg631 oops, yeah, thats what I meant.

iranians arent even operating the TF30 engines that were shipped with the F-14As they had so...

  • @SkateZillaHD Actually, the F-14D was equipped with GE F110-400 engines. The F-14A was the only model to have the TF-30's.

  • the afterburner's look like the original TF30s at Dusk.

the fact that he buzzes and american base, zone 5's and pulls out, he was prolly show boating, a Heat Seaking SAM would have ended his life w/ no problems.

F-14D w/ TF30 Engines, that fact that someone with a camera knew he was coming, Departure Flyby from Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom.

  • how do we know it's Iranian? We don't know when the video was made, we just know it was posted in 2009. The F-14 was retired by the USA in 2005 or 2006.

  • @SuperFinnish you nuts? i say F-14 is one of the reasons why the US didn't support Israel's plan to attack Iran.

it's upgraded AIM-54 missile could whoop 6 Falcons/6 Strike Eagles asses 180km away simultaneously, easily. if it can detect a small air-to-air missile, maybe it also capable to detect a freaking F-35.

and these new modified radars they are using maybe much more powerful than existing 'second most powerful aircraft radar', the AN/AWG-9 / AN/APG-71.

  • Sad thing is, though, it's pretty much a Flanker in an F-14 shell thanks to the embargo after the Iranian Revolution. It is rumored to have the old TF-30s replaced with Chinese-built copies of AL-31 engines and either the old original radars or reverse-engineered Soviet radar. Considering that the aircraft delivered are roughly 30 years old or more, you do what you have to do.

  • @hundvonkrieg Iranian jets are worthy as trainers or CAS aircraft, they have their MIG-29s and F-14s with some upgrades for air to air role, they can still go against some of their neighbours but not Israeli or US airforces.

  • Yup, that's an F-14...and those look like American tents. If that's way in the east of Iraq, it's possible that he can in fucking fast and low and jamming for all he was worth. He could be in and out before A2A assets got on station, F-14s are still faster than 16s and strike eagles.

  • @SuperFinnish 7ish...then again you're putting their jets in the same category as F-16s, F-2s, Mirages, rafales, etc...
