  • Very pretty! OMG 650W power consumption, 40 tubes... It can be used as a radiator in winter :D It has 4 tuners, or only AV inputs? It seems the colour CRT is in a bit bad condition. It's not surprising knowing its age :) . Or only the chassis has beam current limiter or high voltage stability problems? What are the diagonals of the CRTs? What's the brand of the colour CRT? RCA? Valvo? Please make more videos showing it inside! Thanks for introducing this unique appliance!

  • Thank you for your comment! There are 4 seperate tuners, no AV-inputs, the small crts have 15cm, the color crt 63cm diagonal. The other requested data I don´t know at the moment. But: the Telefunken "Einheitschassis" makes a much more bad picture, than the Philips K7 or Graetz at this time.

Thank you for the informations! Unfortunately I haven't seen too much type of these old delta tube colour TVs, I was born in 1988, and I've only seen 3 working pieces of them: a Grundig from the late '70s with full semiconductor chassis and ultrasonic remote controller (it has still beautiful picture in 1999), and the other 2 was Hungarian made, one piece of "Videoton Super Color" with tuby Russian chassis and Russian CRT. It worked only with OIRT sound and SECAM colour standard.

  • Interesting, make videos of them!

  • Thanks for posting! One of these was pictured on the cover of the 1973 RadioTimes 50th anniversary issue, and I've been looking for info ever since I saw it.

  • Klasse ich habe den Nachfolger von 1975!

  • wow knightrider!

  • Would love to see a video of the insides of this monster. That has to be the coolest old TV ever.

  • There's a fairly enthusiastic review of this in the Mar-1970 issue of Popular Science. A Google search for "four-eyed TV" will get the Google-Books archive of it.

  • That was quite possibly the most expensive TV in the world in 1967; it cost £1768 and was essentially four TVs in one. It was actually sold as a consumer product. Like other Nordmende products it was hand made and used all the latest technology. The only thing it lacked was remote control.

    So etwas gab es damals?

War das Gerät für überhaupt für private Anwender gedacht?

  • @52rockme722

You're right, there was no AV inputs on TVs this age. But I think from its name this isn't a consumer product, and isn't a TV anyway. It's a studio monitor, so it's not impossible to have AV inputs.
