Hitting the set electronic limiter in a stock 2008 HCH. Note how the assist in the electric motor caps out once the car nears 113 mph, could that be due to the battery dropping below 3 bars? Sorry for the poor quality and the shaky hand, I didn't have the mount ready or a camera handy. Taken with an iPhone 3G camera!

  • Wake me up when I hit 60MPH.

  • @ba7rainiwaft5r these cars have a cvt transmission. there arent any gears in it. basically its like a rubberband. one side expands as the car accelerates and vice versa. there are no felt shifts as the cvt has an infinite number of ratios. basically the car holds 1 rpm throughout acceleration and the rpm depends on how hard u push down the gas

  • @FMXUnleashed *continuously* variable tranny

  • It's kinda strange how Hybrid-Electric buses have no transmission at all, but hybrid-electric cars have them.

  • i like cookies

  • @WanderingAi1 exactly.. cvt = constant variable tranny

  • @WanderingAi1 technicly there is infinity gear on that not one gear.

  • sounds like only one gear lol
